Sooo this week I got a little too excited about fall coming and shot this look at Ponce City Market and almost melted into a puddle of my former self. Fashion is so hard. Whatever, it was totally worth it, because HOW CUTE is this top?! I thought it would be super approp to try out the backpack trend just in time for the kiddies to go back to school, and I have to be honest, I love it. There is something very liberating about being hands-free from a purse. Should I text? Should I carry TWO beverages? The options are endless. Hope you babes have the best weekend!
It's been a while since I did a product haul! These 5 items are currently in heavy rotation in my beauty routine. In fact, I have been using all of them for a few months now (some even longer!) and they are all products that yield real results for me that I would highly recommend to friends & fam...aka you guys. HI! Lemme break it down.
1. BENEFIT 'ERASE PASTE': This stuffff. You guys. My friend Ashley introduced me to this little miracle worker and I love it so much. It covers the puffiest and most tired of eyes. Sometimes I wear just this on a day off and I feel totally fine showing my face in public. I got it in 'Fair' because I like for my under-eye area to be lighter than the rest of my face.
2. LIP FUSION XXL: I ordered this pretty recently and have been using it religiously. It makes your lips plump almost instantly, but my favorite part about it is that it has long-lasting effects giving you fuller lips the longer you use it. All about those Kylie Jenna lips.
3. OLAY REGENERIST MOISTURIZER: I have been using Olay for-ev-er. I used to sneak pumps of my mom's night cream when I was little and now it is a constant staple in my routine. I have pretty dry skin so I definitely need moisturizer, but I hateee to feel greasy. This is heavy enough to use at bedtime, but also light enough that I can use it in the morning under my make-up. Plus, you can just scoop it from CVS. Love a good drugstore buy.
4. GRANDE LASH SERUM: I have raved about this before, but I am still loving it and still seeing results so I had to include it in this post! I use this at night before bed and I swear you guys, my lashes are so long that even the girl that does my eyebrows asked if I had lash extensions. It works.
5. TARTE 'SMOOTH OPERATOR': This is another fave I have had for as long as I can remember. I apply it with this brush after I put on my foundation and concealer, but before my bronzer. It sets everything, removes shine and keeps my make-up in place longer.
So there you have it. Also, I have been thinking about doing a make-up tutorial. Any interest? Ooh you girls keep me young. Kisses!
Did you guys have Hot Topic in your mall? They would sell absolutely NOTHING like what I have on. How fun are these pants?! I wore them out to dinner in Florida last month (with a white crop top instead) and they were the perfect mix of dressy, different and comfortable in the hottest heat that ever heated. I have a long torso, so finding high-waisted trousers that are long enough for me to wear heels with is a MAJOR win. ('Trousers' is such an odd word..) The fact that they are currently still on sale is just a no-brainer. I'm actually annoyed because they are even cheaper now than they were when I found them.
When I love something, I love it hard..(trust me, I saw Titanic twelve times in theaters), and the same has been going for florals as of late. Also, very into this jumpsuit, just as a tropical side note. Makes me want a daiquiri. Monday funday, anyone? As always, thanks for reading along! I have some of my beauty must-haves coming your way tomorrow. Keep in touch, k? LYLAS.
Let's face it, during the summer, what you wear under your clothes can be just as important as your outfit choice. It can be SO hard to find the right lingerie that is both functional in hotter temps and pretty to look at, so I have partnered with Kohl's to bring you a few summa-suggestions.

Aside from comfort of fit, the single most important factor in buying lingerie is FIT. I can't stress this enough. Get measured. Try on lots of sizes, not just the size you think you are. Nothing ruins a cute top like having an extra bulge caused by an ill-fitting bra, am I right?!
One of the best things about Kohl's is that they carry Cosabella, one of my all time favorite lingerie brands. (It's also a celeb fave! If you're into that sort of thing..) Cosabella has the absolute softest, most comfortable and breathable line of bras and undies I have ever found. Perfect to go under your summer wardrobe. Let's breakdown a few of the styles I swear by:
1| THE BANDEAU: I live for a bandeau in the summer. They are perfect under a swingy tank or dress, but can also act as a part of your outfit with a backless top or a low v-neck. I have these in legitimately every color of the rainbow, plus about 136 in black.
2| WIRE FREE BRA: I sleep in these every single night. Cannot get enough of these soft, but sexy little bralettes.
3| THE BALCONET: This sexy little option is a favorite of mine for a night out. The scalloped cups are so pretty, you almost don't want to cover them at all...but ya know, that would be trashy guys, come on.
4| THE LACE THONG: The lace thong is my go-to everyday choice. They are so soft and stretchy, but also thin enough to avoid that embarrassing VPL, as my mom would say.
5| THE SEXY HIPSTER: This is a dressier version of my favorite sleep short. I love the strappy detailing on the side!
6| THE SLEEP SHORT: The other half of my sleeping attire. I lovee these little lace shorts. They are so comfortable for sleeping, but are also breathable and light enough to keep you cool when it's 95 degrees outside.
It's easy to forget about what lies beneath your clothes, but honestly, as I've gotten older, what I wear underneath has become so much more important to me. Comfort is key, but wearing the right undergarments can also make your outfits fit better, and therefore, look better! Who doesn't want that!?

When my sweet friends at Shelvie Jean boutique showed me this little leopard set, I couldn't take it home fast enough. I am so into separates these days! Especially in this Atlanta heat. Easy & breezy are the only qualities I am looking for these days in an ensemble.
I picked up this floral set before I went to Florida to meet the boyfriend's family, and also have my eye on this striped duo for a fun night out. I love that they are just an easy, no-thought outfit option that you can throw on be ready in a hot second.
The Nordstrom Annual Sale kicks off tomorrow (FriYAY for real!) a.m. for the general public, and believe me when I tell you, this is better than Christmas, your birthday and your graduation all mixed in one. I have been pre-saling so hard, because ya know, I'm a cardholder. Just like Carrie Bradshaw taught us, I like my money right where I can see it..hanging in my closet. Shop my top picks below. Each picture is clickable and lists the SALE price underneath!
I seriously live in these AG jeans and they are almost $100 off. Cannot beat it. Two more items I decided I couldn't live without today were this jacket and this cardigan. I truly need to be stopped. How many items will be sacrificed before I am done shopping the Nordstrom sale? The limit does not exist.
You guys, I am VERY into the one-piece trend. I have a long torso, which makes my love for the one-piece very tricky, but not impossible. Take one from J.Biebs and just believe. I rocked these two onesies on my family's annual lake trip this year, and both of them are under $20. #worthit
On another note, have you guys checked out zeroUV sunglasses? I ABOUT DIED. Everything is $9.99 and under. Would I lie to you? Not about this. At a price point like that, you can shamelessly try every style you've been curious about.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! I for one, am still recovering. I raged, just like our forefathers before me. #AMERICA It's no secret that the off-the-shoulder trend has taken over the blogging world this season, but it's just SO flattering! I can't get enough of it and this top is under $15. You read that right.
If you are shorter, or have a smaller frame and are worried about being overpowered by the ruffles, this top is another great pick and still under $20! Y'all know I love a bargain by now.
I am headed to the lake in NC this weekend with my family for some much needed R&R. Can't wait to share some of my own summer duds with you guys on IG, so make sure you are following @giltyaschgd!
I have had my heart set on these babies since the moment I laid my underpaid eyes on them. You can imagine my utter devastation when I saw the price tag. I was driven to drink, and then I was driven to find a more affordable pair that would fit the bill without breaking it. VOILA. I am nothing if not resourceful, people.
PHOTOS BY BENJAMIN ALEXANDER
This week I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with Benjamin Alexander of @Be_Atlanta. Benjamin reached out to me about being a part of his fashion series and I was so excited. He shoots everything on his iPhone, which I think is amazing. We braved the 986 degree temperatures to get this series of shots. You can also check out my interview on his page, The Truth Renaissance, here!

Hi my Gilties! It's Monday again. Let's lighten the mood. Pom poms have come back in a big way as of late and I personally could not be more into them. I got this top before my Miami trip in April and have worn it an embarrassing amount of times, but it's just so cute!
Here are a few other pom picks I am crushing on:
These sandals (on sale!)
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have literally been living in these One Teaspoon shorts. They are kind of an investment, at least more than I would typically spend on denim shorts, BUT they have been worth every penny. So flattering and so comfortable, and I get compliments on them no matter how disheveled the rest of me looks!
It feels like I am celebrating the birthday of every bff I have this week. I must be super drawn to June babies, what can I say? Tomorrow night we are going to Umi...my favorite sushi on planet Earth...to celebrate my preshie friend Elisabeth first. Hope you guys have a great week! I love ya so much, you girls keep me young.
Is there anything better than being barefoot in a flowy maxi, making your way down to the beach for the first time each summer? No, there absolutely is not. Well, maybe if you were also carrying a cocktail, but let's not be greedy. I was in Charleston last weekend, (Go Cougs!) my favorite city on Earth, and packed nothing but easy looks like this one. It's under $60, and with my code 'GACShopAlix' you can save an extra 15%!
Hope you guys had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I am still on vacay-mode. #NotSorry
This just in: BAUBLEBAR is having a major sale from now until May 23rd. What are the details, you ask?
20% off 1 item with code: STOCKUP20
25% off 2 items with code: STOCKUP25
30% off 3 items with code: STOCKUP30
My personal shopping cart is looking a little something like this:
4. My number ONE pick is this amazing marble-esque strand necklace. I'd wear it to work over a leopard print blouse, and out on the weekend over a gray tank with a top knot. GIMME.
1. I hate birds. Like hatee. I am really scared of them. They're so unpredictable! Especially pigeons, which are basically just rats with wings. When outdoors, it is smart to hide self from said birds under hats like this one.
2. I am an adventurous eater. I started eating sushi when I was in 3rd grade and could literally eat it for every meal. Same with pizza.
3. Which leads me to three: I could never ever give up carbs, and you really wouldn't want me to. #hangerisreal
4. I love exercising outdoors, but really hate camping. There are birds there. I live by the motto, "Let there be A/C." Find my other motto here.
5. I am an only child, but am the oldest of seven cousins who are like siblings to me.
6. I am a total girly girl now, but I was a huge tomboy until about halfway through junior high and will still ALWAYS always choose pants/shorts over a dress or skirt. Living in these shorts lately.
7. My Dad passed away from lung cancer in 2011. I miss him all the time, but luckily I get my sarcastic (sometimes sick) sense of humor from him. Whoops?
8. I learned to water ski when I was 5 years old, but lately I prefer to wake board. I LOVE the lake. Love.
9. I have extremely frizzy hair that is naturally curly and have spent a small fortune learning how to manage it for the last 29 years.
10. Speaking of the last 29 years, I will be turning 30 on October 24th of this year...so will Drake. That is honestly the only thing keeping me from a mental breakdown. #OVOLife DM me if you'd like to send a gift. Mwahaha. Ehm, jk. Sorry.
I also really love lists. Can you tell? That's all for this edition of GILTY oversharing. I feel so close to you right nowww, it's a force field.
Happy Cinco de Mayo, my little bambinos! Wait, I think bambino is actually Italian. WELL. I don't know about y'all, but cinco is by far my favorite de Mayo, because let's be honest, no one has ever understood May Day. If queso isn't involved, I am not really interested. Grab yourself a marg (hold the salt, because puffy face) and let's talk jumpsuits, shall we?
If it was acceptable to live in a jumpsuit, I would. I ordered this one during my "People vs. OJ Simpson" watching spree and literally died laughing when I put it on because it reminded me so much of Johnny Cochran's collection of silk pajamas. That man DRESSED for bed, let me tell you. I also lovingly refer to it as Colonel Mustard, but honestly, it is one of my favorite purchases this year. It is under $40 and could not be more comfortable, plus you don't even need a bra. Funny story...I wore this to a wedding and forgot pasties, so I wore x-shaped band-aids underneath. I looked like a budget super-hero. Do as I say guys, not as I do.
Is this even mauve? Well, whatever. Close enough. You guys know I am not the biggest dress girl, but when it comes to ATL, heat and humidity are no joke. Summer (and sometimes even Spring) calls for light gauzy fabrics, comfortable footwear, and strong cocktails. I love the little tassel detailing on this barely pink number. I do not, however, love my lack of a tan. Woof.
Also, make sure you guys keep tabs on Like It Love It Need It this week as we break down a ton of great Mother's Day gift ideas!
Goodies for my Gilties:
Hi my Gilties! I am back from what feels like 3 weeks of traveling (dramatic), and am playing catch up like nobody's business. Miami was amazing. The weather was perfect, and there is something so great about a group of girlfriends that can spend most of the year apart, but come back together and laugh like absolutely zero time has passed. I am very thankful for my favorite five, that is for sure.
One of the hardest things about beach packing for me is remembering to bring anything to wear during the day that isn't a bikini or a cover-up. (But speaking of cover-ups...I am very much obsessed with this one I just got before my trip! Looks way more expensive than $19.99!) This amazing jumpsuit from Show Me Your Mumu is perfect to throw on for lunch or to wear out for dinner. I was sold on the print alone before I even saw the whole outfit. It's also on sale! I got an XS, but it does run slightly small in the waist, so I would recommend going up a size if you want it to be less squeezy and more breezy.
As always, use code 'GACShopAlix' for 15% off your entire order!
Cute, colorful pom poms have been huge this season, on everything from sandals to tops and dresses, so I was VERY excited when I saw this pom-covered tote come to life in my mailbox. It pretty much has vacation written all over it, and makes me want a margarita even more than usual.
As you guys know, I am a huge romper/jumpsuit person...I think part of the tomboy left over in me just still suffers from an aversion to skirts. Can't help it. This one hooked me right away with its drawstring waist and nautical-esque stripes. It is soft and breezy and easily doubles as a cover-up for the nearest beach bar. Win win.
Tonight, I am off to The Tabernacle to support my LikeitLoveitNeedit business partnah and bestie Callie's fiance, Jeff Dauler, as he opens for E!'s Joel McHale! Love a little stand-up comedy this time of year. If you live in ATL, you can check Jeff out in the mornings on Star94! (94.1)
SHOPBOP Friends & Family is here again! Can you feel your wallet tingling? Mine is like, "Are you mental? Don't even look in my direction." So in the interest of Spring-saving, this is my little round-up of faves under $200. You can shop each by clicking the pics! Weee.
This weekend, I am jetting off (doesn't that sound fancy? I'll be in coach, but it's nice to dream) to Miami with my favorite five, so I grabbed a few things for myself. I cannot lie. This is the perfect time to bag those One Teaspoon shorts you've been eyeing (me), or splurge a little on a new fresh pair of sunnies before temps hit one hundo.
USE CODE 'INTHEFAM' FOR 25% OFF YOUR ORDER!
<Blogged while eating champagne bears from Sugarfina> It's almost the weekend again! I literally have no idea where this week has gone, but I am certainly not complaining. Give it. I wanted to share this little Insta(REPLAY) with you guys before I forget or have wine.
Starting from the top, you'll see my last jacket purchase of the season (maybe?), followed by the latest and greatest in my graphic tee collection from Wicked Custom Apparel, and finally, my GOTN (gown of the night) for a Great Gatsby themed birthday party I went to last weekend. TO DIEE for. I honestly wish I had more use for gowns. Oh and around my waist? That's a headband. Martha Stewart level creativity over here.
