So last week was a total whirlwind of all of my favorite things. Fashion, designers, runways and shopping. I could go on and on. RAGTRADE Atlanta is an amazing organization that seeks out and then promotes up and coming designers here in Atlanta, as well as all over the world. I am lucky enough to live in a city that is equally passionate AND supportive of the arts, and I try to jump at every opportunity to get involved. This year’s RAGTRADE was no exception.
Night one was a cocktail party at Aloft Atlanta (SUCH a cool hotel, definitely planning a staycation there very soon). Night two was the fashion show at the Georgia Freight Depot, which was the by far the very best part. It was so inspiring to see the designers’ lines come to life on the runway after all of their hard work. My favorite collection was by designer Edmond Newton (seen below), who is on the current season of Project Runway, but all of the shows were incredible to watch. Night three was a “sip & shop” event at Phipps Plaza and it ended on a major high with me winning the raffle! I am so thankful for a jobby (job + hobby) that allows me to meet and mingle with such an incredibly talented group of people. Feeling very humbled as I look back over the week.
